High-temperature special oils are used in many different industrial applications: on conveyor belts and chains in drying ovens for gypsum and insulation material manufacturing as well as in the packaging, food, coating and glass container industries.

The Following Performance Requirements are Extremely Important:

  • Optimum friction and wear reduction under mixed friction conditions for reliable machine operation and long component service life.
  • Low tendency to form coating residues in order to guarantee fault-free re-lubrication of the friction points.
  • High penetration and wetting ability for the best possible lubrication of crucial friction points.
  • Excellent adhesion in the friction points to prevent oil dripping and being spun off and, consequently, being carried over to other areas.
  • Low evaporation losses for economical use and clean production facilities.

Often, some of these aspects are conflicting: they have to be carefully considered and coordinated especially with regard to the respective application requirements to achieve optimum component service life.
